(Eph. 4:17-18)
“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.”
Alienation from the life of God in us is a great problem in the Church. All of us are still, to one degree or another, alienated from that life we have within us. And the only thing that is going to bring us into more of an understanding of that life, and prepare us for what God is about to do on the earth, is to have most of our concepts of God which we have been taught in the past by our forefathers torn down. They are Idols.
(I Cor. 15:20-23)
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the First-fruits, afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.”
When I am born into this natural world; I am a child of Adam and I am in darkness. And I am born with his nature that is anti-Christ. I am dead to the revelation and awareness of God’s presence.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
In order to understand that as all were dead in Adam, so are all alive in Christ; we have to go back to the beginning and look face to face in to The Word of God. And see God’s original plan and intent for mankind (Adam).
Remember this is “the Word that is from the beginning, all things are made by him and without him nothing is made. In him is the light (the revelation of the truth) and that light is the light of men.”
“Thy Word is truth” (Reality)
What is this “Word” He (Jesus) is talking about?
John 1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Questions to all, especially the Christian!!
Did we choose to be born this way in Adam?
Is “all” in Christ any less then “all” in Adam?
Did man receive this light or is He in darkness, blinded, or asleep?
Ephesians 5:14 says, "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light."
Could you possibly be blinded, asleep, or in darkness?
Are you God’s “own” whom received him not?
What is God’s purpose and plan in mankind?
